A Story of Creation

Hi friends! I wanted to share a very beautiful article with you. Reading it brought me joy and I hope it does the same for you.😊 Enjoy!

A Story of Creation

My dear friends, we love you so very much,

Your lives were meant to be a joyful co-creative dance with the Divine and with one another. “So what has happened upon your earth?” you ask us. Why is life so challenging?

Let us tell you a little fairy tale  – a story of how you came to exist…

Once upon a endless now the Source imagined a beautiful soul and in the very act of imagining you, suddenly your spirit was born.

Imagine you could invent the most amazing character in your mind.Imagine you could tell him or her, “I am giving you life! You are created within me. You live in my very own mind. I am dreaming that you will experience wonderful adventures within me. I am dreaming of your magnificent talents, your wonderful relationships, your experience of the abundance of my heart. I give you life.”

“I am in you and you are in me.

This is exactly, dear ones, how the Divine Created you. You are not separate. You live within the mind and heart of the Infinite. You are a creation of the Divine. You are within the Source, and the Source is within you... exactly as if you invented a character that is within your mind, and you are within this character. Can you imagine?

Take this a step further. Imagine you said to this character that you created in your mind, “I love you so much! I can imagine so many wonderful things for you! I give you life within my mind. I can imagine all you can create. Hmmm, if I give you free will, you may become even more than I can dream for you.You may come up with ideas, adventures, inventions and relationships even beyond what I can imagine in this moment. All things are possible in my mind. Let me give you free will and see what you will create. Let us see how you will take my Love, and create even more.

I will allow you all choices, but My promise is that I will always try to steer you into the most loving choices, no matter what you choose.

And so, dear ones, in like fashion, God created you. Each one of you is lovingly dreamt into being by your Creator. Each one of you exists in the infinite field of Divine love – in the mind of God itself.  Each one of you is sourced from, and given life by the creator with whom you have never lost your connection.

Each one of you, through your free will, is given the power to experience and expand the Source’s understanding of its own love. You, through your choices, are given the ability to expand the love of God! You take part in the expansion of the universe and in the expansion of Love! You matter.

So why do you suffer? Why is there hatred, when all God dreamed for each and every one of you is love? It is only when you forget this connection at some point in your soul’s eternal existence that you begin to suffer. In forgetting you begin to feel that you must handle life alone or you feel that you must suffer to save others, or to “make up for past sins.” You feel that in your suffering there is great merit. In truth there is a lot you can learn from suffering. It catalyzes you to reconnect with the Source, and to remember the love from which you are made. However, in reality, you were never asked to suffer.

Some souls volunteer to suffer, knowing that the world understands suffering more easily than ease. These are usually those highly evolved beings who realize that even in spite of physical suffering, the soul does not need to suffer, or be unhappy. The might be in physical pain or in poverty but they radiate love, joy, inspiration, and truth. They too are proving to themselves their Oneness with love in spite of all the world’s illusions.

Take time in silence. Drop into your hearts.  What feels like love in this moment, is love in this moment. You have an internal compass that knows what love feels like and always seeks to find its Presence.

At any time you can return to your God-given, loving guidance and shift back into streams of Grace. Even if you have challenges in your physical existence, you can in every breath, return to love… and in so doing, this Love will begin to transform and guide you.

God Bless You! We love you so very much.

Is the Grass Greener? part 5

Rebecca stared back into his eyes and said, ” Fine, I guess a cup of coffee won’t hurt. I’ll give you a call and let you know when it’s a good time.”

” Great! I’ll be waiting for that call sweetheart,” said Marco.

Rebecca turned around and started walking towards her car. She couldn’t help but to wonder if she made the right choice saying yes. On the drive home,  she started thinking about how she felt like she would officially be cheating on John if she saw Marco again. Despite the fact that they’re only friends, she can’t fight the feeling of having a small crush on him. When she made it to the driveway of her home , her husband John was standing outside.

“Where were you? I’ve been waiting to talk with you?” John said.

“I was out to dinner with a friend. Either way, I needed time to cool off. ” Rebecca walked in the house and sat down in her recliner.

” Well, go ahead and talk; I’m listening,” said Rebecca.

John walked up and stood over her. “I really didn’t mean to upset you so much, it’s just that I wanted you to know how it felt to catch your spouse lusting after someone else. You know I’m not really interested in those kind of movies,” said John.

” I know why you did it. It’s just that I wish you would’ve  listened to me rather than try and get even. I told you I only read the book because we don’t have any romance in our marriage. So I got my fix that way. Would you had rather I cheated on you!” Rebecca yelled.

“I’ve done nothing to deserve for you to cheat on me! Yes, I know, I’m usually busy. I don’t really have the time to be romantic. But maybe if you would dress sexy and fix yourself up sometime, perhaps that would grab my attention, ” John said.

Rebecca started to turn red in the face.

“Oh, I’m sorry! I’m only a nurse who work long night shifts! I don’t have the time to look like a super model. But I’m glad to finally know that you ignore me because you think I look disgusting. You aren’t so hot yourself! I don’t complain about your balding head or your extra weight! All I asked for was to be given a little more attention!” Rebecca got up and pushed John out the way. She rushed to their bedroom and slammed the door shut. She locked the door.

“That’s not what I meant. Rebecca! Rebecca!” yelled John.

She couldn’t believe what her husband just told her. She started to think about how Marco made her feel beautiful. Rebecca started to cry. She replayed Marco voice in her head telling her she could wear a paper bag to dinner and she would still be beautiful. Rebecca was confused on what to do. What she did know is that she didn’t want her husband anywhere near her. She never thought John would ever be so insensitive. John started knocking on the door.

” Rebecca! Let me in! ”

“Go away!” Rebecca yelled.

“Please! I’m sorry! Either way it’s my room too. Come on and let me in. Let’s talk about it. I didn’t mean what I said. I said it out of anger! ” John yelled. He started banging on the door.

“I can’t do this anymore,” Rebecca said. Rebecca opened up the bedroom door and walked out past John and towards the door outside.

” Where are you going?! It’s already midnight, ” said John.

“I’m going to go buy some sexy clothes so I don’t disgust you”, Rebecca said. She busted out the door and jumped in the car and drove off. She didn’t know where She was going, but she knew she didn’t want to be around John. Marco smile kept coming back to her. So She picked up her cell phone and gave Marco a call.

“Hello?” Marco said with a scratchy voice.

” I’m sorry I called you this late. It sound like I woke you up”, Rebecca said.

” Hearing from you is always a pleasure. Are you calling about the coffee date?”

“Actually yes. I know this sound crazy, and I’d totally understand if you said no, but would you like to join me for coffee tonight? I had a big fight with my husband and I don’t want to be around him right now. I think I could use your advice,” Rebecca said.

” Well yes, of course! It’s my pleasure! Where do we meet? ” he asked.

“Jonah’s Coffee shop on twenty third and Filmore. ”

“I’ll be there !” Marco hung up.

Rebecca smiled and blushed at his enthusiasm. When she finally drove up to the Coffee shop, Marco was standing at his car waiting for her. He walked up to her car and opened up her door.

” Wow, you made it here fast! Did you teleport!?” Rebecca asked.

“Ha! Practically. I have to admit I was excited when you asked to see me. I thought I’d  probably never see you again. I wasn’t sure you really wanted to go out for coffee,” Marco said.

Rebecca and Marco walked in the coffee shop and took a seat. ” Well, I was planning on seeing you again, just not this soon. My husband just said the most horrible things to me and I really needed a listening ear,” said Rebecca.

“Oh, What did he say?” Marco asked.

“It’s a long story, but in short, my husband said he would give me the time of day if I fixed my myself up. I guess I  look like a slob to him. We’ve been fighting ever since he caught me reading a romance novel. I told him I only read it because he doesn’t give me enough attention. So, he got me back by watching adult movies. And now everything is messed up between my husband and I. I can’t believe I’m telling you all this!” Rebecca laid her face in her hands in embarrassment.

” Don’t be embarrassed! You’re talking to someone who has had thire share of arguments in marriages. I think what he told you was horrible. You look absolutely beautiful to me. I have no idea what he’s talking about. Perhaps it’s the other way around. Maybe he feels insecure about himself. I know I never felt good enough for my wives.”

Rebecca smiled and looked down. “Well, he sure don’t act like he feels that way,” Rebecca said.

” You’ll get through this. I’m here for you,” he said.

“I think I’m ready for my coffee. Are you? Rebecca asked. ”

“Oh, yes!” he replied. Marco ordered two cappuccinos.

The waitress sat down thire coffee. ” Drink up!” Marco said.

Rebecca took a sip. “This is really good. But unfortunately it doesn’t solve my problem with my husband,”  She said.

Marco started gazing at her with a blank face. “Is everything ok?” Rebecca asked.

“Oh, yes. I was just thinking about how you need to relax. I think I can solve your problem,” Marco said.

“Ha! Really?” Rebecca laughed.

“Is that your keys on the floor?” Marco asked.

Rebecca bent down to look at the floor. Just when she bent down, Marco slipped a pill in her coffee.

“I don’t see anything,” Rebecca said.

“Sorry, I guess I was seeing things. Don’t let your coffee get cold”, he said.

“Yeah,” Rebecca said. She started taking sips of coffee. All of a sudden, Rebecca started rubbing her eyes.

“What’s wrong?” Marco asked smiling.

“I feel really tired and a little dizzy,” she said.

“Well, it is two in the morning. I’m sure you’re just tired and stressed out. Let me drive you home. You shouldn’t be driving in this condition,” Marco said.

“Okay, thanks. I feel so strange!” Rebecca eyes started rolling around and her body became weak.

Marco helped lift her out of her seat and walked her to his car. He sat her in the back seat.

“Just sit back and relax; I’ll get you  home,” he said. Marco got in and started to drive.

” Wait! Don’t you need my address? Where are you going?” Rebecca asked in a slurred voice.

“Just sit back,” he said. Just when Rebecca reached out her arm to stop him, she passed out.

Marco continued to drive and smiled.

Rebecca had another big argument with her husband, so she decided to take that offer for coffee with Marco. But it turns out that maybe that wasn’t such a good idea. Marco slipped something in her coffee that caused her to pass out. Now instead of driving her home, he is driving her who knows where! Read the continuation to find out what happens next!

Is the Grass Greener? Part 4

As Rebecca drove she started to think about Mr. Albate. She really felt like she could use the good company. She took the number out of her pocket and started to think about if she should call him. After hard thinking and consideration, she decided to give Mr. Albate a call. She pulled over into a parking lot and made the call. Rebecca hand started to shake. Calling him made her more nervous than she thought. He answered the phone.

” Hello!” he said.

” Hi, this is Rebecca. I was your nurse last night.”

” Hello Rebecca! I’m so glad to hear from you. I didn’t expect you to keep the number!”

” Well, I wasn’t, but you seemed like such a nice guy, so I thought maybe a cup of coffee wouldn’t hurt.”

” That sound great! Are you free tonight? I’m out the hospital now, and I  sure could use the good company and meal after eating that hospital food. I would love you to join me for dinner.”

Rebecca heart started to beat faster. Her husband John came to her mind. But she gave herself a quick pep talk convincing herself that it’s only a friendly dinner date.

” Okay, sure!  But not tonight, it’s so last minute. I’m not even dressed for the occasion,” she said.

” No worries! he said. Casual dress is fine. Do you like pizza? I know a nice little pizza joint that make the best pizza in town! So how about it? ”

Rebecca smiled. “Okay! You won me over. I love pizza. Where can I meet you? I’m on the road now!” Rebecca couldn’t believe she just blurted out yes.

“Meet me at Leonardo’s Pizza. Do you need the address?”

” I’ve drove by it before. I’ll be fine. I should be there in about thirty minutes. Is that fine?” Rebecca asked.

” That’s perfect! See you in a few!” he said.

Rebecca hung up the phone. She blushed at how she could hear the excitement in his voice. She started reminiscing about how John used to sound that way. Rebecca started looking in the mirror and fixing her hair and makeup. She looked at the time and saw it was six o’clock in the evening. She again started to second think about if she was making the right choice. She started to wonder how John would react if she told him she went to dinner with a guy. She started to consider backing out of the date. But then she had a sudden flash back of John watching adult movies. The thought of it made her furious all over again. The memory gave her the confidence to start her car, and make her way to the restaurant. She didn’t want her son to worry, so she called her son Jeff and let him know she was going out to dinner. When Rebecca made it to the parking lot of the restaurant, she began to get butterflies. She got out the car and walked in the resturant. Mr. Albate saw her and waved. He got up to greet her with a big smile and hug.

“Hello there! You look lovely this evening, ” he said. He kissed her on the cheek. Rebecca couldn’t help but to notice how handsome he looked dressed in his pollo shirt and khakis.

” Thank you! I don’t feel lovely wearing jeans and a t-shirt,” Rebecca said.

” Don’t be silly. You could wear a paper bag to dinner and look just as lovely. I’m so glad you took me up on my offer. You seem like such a nice lady. I’d love to learn more about you. Oh yeah, and call me Marco, ” he said.

Rebecca started to blush. ” You seem like a very nice guy too Marco, I’d love to learn more about you also.” Rebecca noticed him scanning his eyes all over her body.  She liked how he actually showed interest in her unlike her husband.

“Shall we order? ” he asked.

“Yes, what do you recommend?” Rebecca asked.

“How about we share a vegetarian pizza?  I’m trying to watch my waist line! Haha!”

“Sounds great, me too!” She said. Rebecca started thinking about how she admired his sense of humor. John never was much of the type to tell jokes.

Marco called over the waiter. As he was ordering, she couldn’t help but to think about her husband. She started feeling guilty again about being out with another man. This was supposed to be only a “friendly” dinner, but she found herself feeling like a teenage girl on her very first date. His presence gave her butterflies. She started staring at him and found herself really attracted to his smooth classic appearance. The smell of his cologne made her swoon. The more she felt those emotions, the more guilty she began to feel.

After he finished ordering, he said, ” So, Rebecca, tell me more about your family.”

“Well, I’ve been married for 18 years to my husband John. He’s a high school teacher. We have one son together named Jeff who is now sixteen,” Rebecca said.

“Wow! You’ve been married that long and only had one kid?” Marco asked.

” Yes, Our careers didn’t allow much time to expand our family. Being a nurse takes up a lot of your time,” Rebecca said.

” How did you guys meet?” Marco asked.

We met twenty years ago at a local bar in town. At the time I was a bartender there, and John came in crying because his girlfriend had just dumped him. I was there to talk him through it. We were inseparable after that.”

“Wow, great way to meet,” he said.

The waiter came and sat the pizza down.

“Wow, this look delicious, Rebecca said. I’ll dig in while you tell me more about yourself!”

Marco sat back and took a deep breath. ” Well, I’ve been married three times. I haven’t had much luck in love. I was married under five years to all three. I have two kids with my first wife, one with my second wife, and none with my third. I’ve learned my lesson! No more wives or children! ”

“Haha! I’m sure”, Rebecca laughed. Despite her laughter, she actually found what he said quite alarming. She started thinking maybe he’s not that charming after all. She could see the embarrassment in his face as he continued.

“Yeah, I’ve been single for five years now.  I’m just fine with focusing on my career, and taking care of my children,” Marco said.

“Oh, what do you do for a living? That’s if you don’t mind me asking,” Rebecca said.

“Oh, no, not at all, I’m an architecture, ” he said.

“Great career”, she said. She started thinking about how she couldn’t believe all those crazy things were coming out of the mouth of an handsome architecture. She was afraid to ask  about his children. He already had enough working against him.

Rebecca phone started to ring. ” I’m sorry, let me take this call. ”

” Of course,” he said.

” When are you coming home?” asked John.

“I’ll be home in an hour or so. But either way, don’t wait up for me,” Rebecca replied.

” Look, I’m willing to talk things out if you are,” John said.

Marco watched Rebecca with a look of concern as she talked on the phone. Rebecca looked at John back in embarrassment.

” Look, we’ll discuss this later, I have to go!” Rebecca said. She hung up the phone and took a deep breath.

Marco noticed her look of discomfort. ” Is everything okay?” He asked.

“Oh, yes, I’m fine!”

“You can’t fool me! Ha! I’ve been in three marriages; I know the look and feel of there being trouble in paradise. I don’t want to get in your business, but I’m here if you need my advice. I’ve experienced a little bit of everything!” Marco said laughing.

Rebecca smiled and replied, ” I’m fine, really. The pizza was delicious, thank you so much for the lovely evening, but I really should get going now.” After hearing about all his marriages, Rebecca didn’t feel comfortable confiding in him. He actually made her feel awkward and turned off.

“Of course! He said. I really enjoyed your company. Thanks for joining me. Is it possible to see you again? Perhaps for that cup of coffee?” He gazed at her with a look of desperation and uncertainty. He could tell she was turned off after hearing about his ex-wives.

” Ummm……..that really don’t seem like a good idea. I’m sorry. This dinner itself might have been a bad idea. I did break my rule of not mixing business with pleasure. I had a wonderful time, honestly. But I just can’t. Goodbye Marco. Rebecca patted him on the back and then turned to leave. That’s when he grabbed her by the hand and stared her in the eyes and said, ” please……”

Rebecca looked at him astonished. She resented Marco putting her on the spot. She already regretted going out to dinner with another man behind her husband back. And he also didn’t seem so much like the charming guy she imagined him to be. Rebecca couldn’t help but to wonder if he was the cause of all his divorces. What caused all those women to divorce a well spoken, handsome, architecture? But on the flip side, he was supposed to be just a friend and nothing more. And his company did help her forget about what John did. She stared back into his eyes and said……..

To be continued!

Rebecca finally made the call to Mr. Albate. She had a lovely dinner with him at the pizza joint that she ended up regretting. Now Mr. Albate wants another date! Should she?! Will she say yes? Read the continuation to find out!

Is the Grass Greener? part 3

” Don’t be sorry. You’re only trying to do the right thing. And I respect that you are a married woman. That’s why I am asking for a dinner date as a friend. You can have friends can’t you?”

Rebecca looked at him and said, “well…….no, I can’t. I really don’t think it would be appropriate to date one of my patients. I’m really sorry.”

Mr. Albate gave out a loud chuckle. “Okay,  well, I guess it was worth the try!” Rebecca tapped Mr. Albate on the hand and gave him a warm smile.

” Get well soon Mr. Albate!” Rebecca left the room and headed back to the nurses station for lunch.

“Are you okay Rebecca?” Jane said.

” No, I have to face my husband when I get home. I don’t even know if saying sorry will make things better.”

“I’m sure John will be a lot better when you go home. Your husband probably just needed time to cool off, ” said Jane.

” Yeah, let’s hope so.” One of Rebecca’s co-workers handed her a folded up piece of paper. “What’s this?” Rebecca asked.

“I don’t know. A guy from room 304 asked me to give it to you.” Rebecca hesitantly took the piece of paper.  Rebecca opened it and on it was Mr. Albate’s phone number. Rebecca started to laugh.

“What’s so funny?” Jane said with a puzzled look.

“One of my patients asked me for a date, but I told him no. This paper has his phone number on it!”

“Are you going to keep it?” asked Jane. All the nurses at the desk waited for Rebecca’s answer in anticipation.

“Of course not! I’m married. John would lose his mind.” Rebecca said. All the nurses shook their heads in agreement.

“Good answer,” Jane said.

Rebecca walked to the trash can to throw it away. Just when she put her hand over the basket, visions of Mr. Albate’s face flashed in her mind.

At that moment she admitted to herself that she did enjoy their conversation, and he did make her feel beautiful. So Rebecca looked around her to see if anybody was looking, and quickly stuffed the number in her pocket. All night during work she felt a little guilty for not throwing his number away. She felt like she was cheating on John. But, she couldn’t get herself to throw it away. She wanted to keep it just in case she changed her mind.

When Rebecca got home that morning, she spent time sitting in her recliner trying to figure out a way to apologize to John. Rebecca really regretted hurting him. She thought to herself that maybe she could cook his favorite meal and have a candlelight dinner. She could wear his favorite dress and have a long conversation in front of the fireplace. Rebecca thought Maybe a romantic evening  is just what they needed.  After having the whole evening thought out, she finally felt peaceful enough to go to bed.

As Rebecca was waking up, she heard noices of moaning. She thought She was hearing things and started digging out her ears. After she sat up and cleaned the sleep out of her eyes, Rebecca heart stopped at what she saw.

“John! What is that you’re watching!” Rebecca yelled.

” What do you think it is? I’m only doing the same thing you do. I’m fantasizing!” John said.

” John are you really going to compare watching adult movies to reading romance novels!? Is this is your revenge on me!? I get this for reading a simple book!? Have you always watched these!?” Rebecca asked.

“No, but I’m going to start. I think we both have the right to fantasize about other people, ” Jhon said.

Rebecca started to cry. “You’re disgusting! I never said I fantasized about anybody. I was only fantasizing about having a love life. You ruined the whole evening! I wanted to have a romantic dinner and talk things out! But, that’s okay! I see you already started without me! ” Rebecca ran out the bedroom.

“Mom! Where are you going”? Her son Jeff yelled.

“I’ll be back sweetie, I’m going for a drive to cool off, ” Rebecca said. She rushed out the door and jumped in her car and drove off.

“Dad, what’s going on? Why is mom so angry?” Jeff asked.

“Don’t worry about it son. Just know that your dad went too far, and now I have to fix things, ” John said.

Meanwhile, Rebecca was driving thinking about what to do.

Her husband went way further than she thought he would. He knew that she never liked him watching adult films. Even though she knew he did it to make her jealous, she couldn’t stand the fact that he wanted to get revenge on her over something as ridiculous as a romance novel. Rebecca felt frustrated and just wanted to escape the situation.  As Rebecca drove she started to think about Mr. Albate. She really felt like she could use the good company. She took the number out of her pocket and started to think about if she should call Mr. Albate. After hard thinking and consideration she decided……….

To be continued!

Rebecca turned down Mr. Albate’s date offer, but decided to take Mr. Albate’s number for a ” just in case”. But now that John has went too far, Rebecca is now considering taking up that dinner date. Will she decide to call him? Read the continuation to find out!

Is the Grass Greener part 2

John dropped the book and the sound of it hitting the tile floor woke Rebecca up. John stood over her and said, ” Did you have a good sleep honey?”

” Oh, hi John, what are you doing home so early? What time is it?” Rebecca sat up and started feeling around for her book.

” It’s a little past eleven. I had to leave work early because of a bad stomach ache. I’m hoping It’s not food poisoning; I did eat off of a weird looking food truck yesterday. Perhaps it wasn’t real beef in those burritos after all.” As John talked, Rebecca sneakily rubbed her hand around the creases of the seat cushion.

“Is everything alright honey? Did you lose something?” Rebecca stopped and looked stunned.

“Umm…oh, yes! I think I dropped my keys in the cushion.” Rebecca got up and stooped down on the floor. When she finally noticed the book on the floor besides the recliner, she quickly grabbed it to slide it underneath. But it was already too late. Her husband stopped her in the tracks and said, ” Read any good books lately?” At that moment, all Rebecca could do was turn to John and look at him stunned.

“Haha! That’s a funny thing to ask John, why? ”

” Oh…..because I thought you might want to read this.” He picked up the book and handed it to her. ” Is that what you were looking for Rebecca?” John stood over her and gazed into her eyes. Rebecca just sat there quiet with her jaw hung low. At that point, all Rebecca could do was just sit there in utter embarrassment.

“Rebecca why did you keep this from me?”

” I just felt that it would ruin your ego if you found out. I mean, you know we don’t have much of a sex life.”

John bursted out laughing. “Did you just say my ego!? What are you insinuating!? I mean, should it ruin my ego? Let’s take a closer look here.” John opened up the book to start reading.

“John don’t! That’s not what I meant! Please!” Rebecca tried to grab the book, but he blocked her with with his arm and began to read. “Hmm….. let’s start here on page twenty where you bookmarked.” Rebecca fell back onto her recliner covering her face as he began to read.

” It says here that Lorenzo walked Julia into the beach house and offered her a seat on the couch. The passion between them grew more and more as they stared into each other’s eyes. Lorenzo sat by Julia on the couch and before they knew it they were kissing passionately. Julia pushed him away out of breath and…..”

Rebecca got up and snatched the book out of his hand before he could get out the next word. ” That’s enough already! Yes, okay! I read romance novels! Instead of cheating on you I read this. I get lonely and miserable. You never want to be romantic! Why can’t I at least fantasize!? ”

” You know what Rebecca, you’re right! Go ahead and fantasize! Fantasize about your dream guy Lorenzo!” John shoved her aside and rushed out the door.  Rebecca started to cry and threw the book in the trash.

All day she kept calling him but there was no answer. She didn’t see from her husband until late that night. He quietly walked in the door and walked pass her. ” John I’m getting ready to go to work, did you want to talk before I leave? ” He didn’t look at her and walked straight towards the kitchen. He ate his dinner in silence and then went straight to bed on the couch. Rebecca finally realized that John wanted nothing to do with her, so she kissed her son goodnight and headed to work. She cried throughout  the whole drive to work and walked into the nurses station with her head down.

” Hey Rebecca!” Yelled her friend Jane. So, what happen at the beach house with Lorenzo?”

“Don’t mention that book to me ever again, I threw it away. I could care less what happen at the beach house. Reading about the lust of Lorenzo destroyed my marriage!” Rebecca pounded her head on the table and started sobbing.

“Rebecca! Get yourself together!” Jane looked around in embarrassment. “Calm down and tell me what happened.”

” When I went home I fell asleep on the recliner with the book on my lap. John noticed it and got really mad and jealous. I told him it was just fantasy, but he wasn’t having it. He said go ahead and continue to “fantasize” about Lorenzo!” Rebecca put her hands over her face.

Jane reached over and hugged Rebecca. “That was a mouth full. I’m so sorry. See, yesterday I told you………”

Rebecca interrupted Jane in the middle of her sentence. “I definitely don’t want to hear your I told you so Jane!  Either way, what’s done is done! I’d rather just work tonight and then deal with it when I get home. ”

Rebecca got herself together and started making her rounds. As she made it to her last room before lunch she heard a soft sound of Frank Sinatra singing ” Fly me to the Moon”. There sat on the hospital bed a gentleman with salt and pepper hair and an innocent smile. He appeared to be in his early fifties. He had a very smooth and classical look to him. He sat there staring into space looking as if he was reminiscing about beautiful yesterdays.

” Hi Mr. Abate, I’m your nurse for the night shift. I’m Rebecca.” She gave him a big smile despite the fact that she felt like crap. “I’ll be checking your vitals and giving you your medication.”

“Oh, welcome nurse Rebecca. Nice to meet you. I’m Mr. Albate.” He gave her a little grin. “You look exausted. Maybe you should take my place and I take your vitals!” He gave out a loud chuckle.

“Haha! That was a good one Mr. Albate. But You’re probably right!” They both bursted out in laughter.

“Sorry to interrupt you, you are listening to some pretty good music right now!” Rebecca said.

“Don’t worry about it. I can’t sleep anyway. And seeing such a beautiful lady with a warm smile helps a lot. Do you like Frank Sinatra?”

Rebecca began to smile and blush. She began taking his vitals. He gazed into her face in silence with a slight grin. “Yes, I’ve listened to Frank Sinatra a few times,” said Rebecca.

“Hmmm…Yes, I’m the biggest Frank Sinatra fan you will ever meet he said. Listening to this takes me back to my youth. My dad would play Frank Sinatra everyday after work. He would light his pipe, sit back, and read a newspaper. He was a classy man. My dad isn’t alive now, but I carry on his tradition”.

“That is just lovely! Welp Mr. Albate, your vitals seem just fine. Besides your stomach flu, you’re okay.  And here is your pills. You should be feeling much better by tomorrow. ”

Mr. Albate just smiled and continued to gaze. “Is there anything else I can help you with, Rebecca asked. Do you need a refreshment? ”

“I’m sorry to just gaze at you, but you are so beautiful and kind. And such sorrow hidden behind that smile. I can tell you are a great person in need of a listening ear. I probably won’t be here tomorrow night. I know this is kind of inappropriate, but I would like to give you my number. Maybe I can take you out for dinner sometime.”

Rebecca looked at him stunned. ” Oh, Mr. Albate, I couldn’t, I’m married. Also, I don’t mix business with pleasure. I’m sure you’re a great guy to talk to, but I just can’t.  I’m sorry. ” Rebecca smiled at him in remorse.

” Don’t be sorry. You’re only trying to do the right thing. And I respect that you are a married woman. That’s why I am asking for a dinner date as a friend. You can have friends can’t you?”

Rebecca looked at him and said, well…….

Is the Grass Greener? part 1

Hi friends! I’m writing another short story. Here on Betcha didn’t know I write a little of everything! And disclaimer: I’m not a professional writer, so yes, you might notice flaws. Anyway, some of you enjoyed the Story of kitten, so I hope you enjoy this as much.😀

In the small town of Red Bluff California lives a 40 year old nurse named Rebecca who is the wife of a 50 year old high school teacher named John. They have one son together named Jeff who is sixteen. They aren’t the happiest married couple alive, but they share enough love to have sustained a marriage for eighteen years. They met twenty years ago at a local bar in their small town. At the time Rebecca was a bartender there, and John was a heartbroken lad who entered the bar to drink his pain away. He had just been dumped by his girlfriend. Rebecca happen to be the bartender that night who was there to lend a listening ear to John. After that night meeting at the bar they were inseparable. But, that was twenty years ago. They aren’t nearly as close as they use to be. They both eventually got lost in their careers and parenthood. So, the spark in their marriage is pretty much obsolete as a result. But, that never stopped Rebecca from fantasizing about romance. She loved to read romance novels at break during her night shift as a nurse.

Jane her friend and co-worker found Rebecca indulged in her novel. “Rebecca are you reading one of those romance novels again?”

“Oh, hi Jane” Rebecca said as she gazed down at the page. “Don’t interrupt me now Jane, Lorenzo is about to take Julia to his beach house for a romantic dinner!”

” Haha! Rebecca does your husband know you spend your break at work drooling over romantic novels?”

” No, and I don’t plan on him finding out either! That would definitely destroy his Manly ego! It’s just that our love life sucks, so I have to get excitement from somewhere.”

” You and John should work on your love life; you guys are such a lovely couple. Besides, you can’t read novels forever; what kind of marriage is that?”

” I know Jane, it’s just that he’s always busy or tired. I try to flirt with John  sometimes, but he usually just brush it off.”

” Well, do something Rebecca. Eventually he will find out about you and those novels.”

” Yeah,” Rebecca said sadly. Rebecca closed the book and started gazing into space daydreaming about being Julia at the beach house having a romantic dinner with Lorenzo.”

“Breaks over! You better get back to work before you get caught not doing your rounds!” yelled Jane.

“Oh yeah, thanks Jane. I did lose track of time.” Rebecca quickly got up and got back to work. After Rebecca’s shift was over, she went straight home. She was eager to read what was going to happen at the beach house with Lorenzo. Rebecca get home in the morning after night shift. Her husband is usually at work, and her son Jeff at school. So it is the perfect time for her to continue her romance novel. So she took a seat in her favorite recliner, got a cup of coffee, and began to read her romance novel. But just after a paragraph her eyes got heavy. She didn’t take into account that she just worked for eleven hours. No matter how hard she fought to keep her eyes open, she couldn’t. Her eyes finally closed, her head fell back, and her book was left resting in her lap.

John her husband had a terrible stomach ache, so he left his class early and went home sick.  He expected his wife to be sleep when he got home from work, so he opened the door quietly. As soon as he walked into the living room he saw his wife sound asleep on the recliner. He smiled and walked over to her to give her a kiss on the forehead and cover her up with a blanket. As he leaned over he saw a shiny book. He noticed it had a romantic cover.

“What is this?” Jhon said.  John had a look of curiosity on his face. He picked up the book and read the title saying, “The Lust of Lorenzo”. He quietly opened the book and started scanning over sentences. The more he read, the wider his jaw dropped.

John dropped the book and the sound of it hitting the tile floor woke Rebecca up. John stood over her and said………….

To be continued! John has finally caught his wife with her romance novel. Is John going to take it lightly, or will it cause a problem between them and become Disastrous ? Read the continuation to find out!

We have no soul/ spirit?

Hi friends! I wanted to talk about how a lot of people debate on whether we have a soul or not. I’m assuming that atheist are the ones who believe that once we “die” that’s it. Materialist believe that conciousness/mind and self-awareness resides directly in the brain. In other words, they believe that we are flesh robots! It’s the neurons sparking that create our minds.

Most scientist and medical researchers take that stance on conciousness. I’m no professional, but I want to give my personal opinion. I don’t even have to use spirituality or philosophy to prove my point that we have a soul. Our conciousness is not the brain! Our soul uses our brain! So I’m going to use a common sense approach. The first step is to know what the human brain looks like.

Yes, this is the human brain. The human brain is made of gray matter. This is made up of about 100 billion neurons that gather and transmit signals while the white matter is made of dendrites and axons that the neurons use to transmit signals. The brain is composted of about 75% water and is the fattiest organ in the body, consisting of a minimum of 60% fat.(The Human Brain – Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). So, as you can see, it doesn’t contain thoughts or self-awareness inside of it on it’s own. There’s no projector or computer chip hidden inside the brain. It’s just an organ made of flesh. It also doesn’t hold electrical sparks inside of it without a force behind it. The force is you by the way. Without you it’s a lump of matter! Now, what can we compare the function of the brain to? How about a television!

As you can see, the television is made of matter too. It’s Just a different texture and not made of cells. Now, look at the brain and television. Both are dead without a force to operate it and bring it to life. Both is just a clump of matter. The television is powered by energy in the wall. Hey! Guess what! We are also powered by energy. Did you know that we are made of energy!? Yes! That’s why the brain and heart has electrical impulses when you the force is behind it! Also, that is why we need food and the sun to maintain our energy! We are energetic beings. But, since we are souls, we don’t need to plug in the wall! We are the energy! Now we all know that the television needs signal to show a picture.

Now, for you materialists, are you assuming that our brain made of matter is receiving signal from some artificial satellite giving us humans self-awareness and mind? Well, that could work if we all thought exactly the same like robots! But we don’t! That’s why we are debating on whether we have a soul or not. No two people think exactly alike! Have you noticed that televisions have the same channels! People from all over can view the same program on the same channels. That’s because it’s using an artificial satellite/ signal. And no matter how “smart” your television is, it’ll never be self-aware or conscious like you. It can only receive energy from the wall, satellite signals, and preprogrammed features. Now you on the other hand, where do you think your brain get it’s signal from? No, not just the neurons. Neurons are just:

plural noun: neurons
  1. a specialized cell transmitting nerve impulses; a nerve cell.
As you can see, the definition says nothing about you being a neuron. The neuron and cells is not conscious . It’s just a nerve! So, again, where is the signal itself coming from? Hmmm…sound spooky…..lol🎃😄! The signal is coming from your soul/ spirit silly! You incorporate your conciousness into your brain. You create the mind of the brain. Mind is not tangible. When you tell the brain to move your leg, then it moves. Your brain doesn’t tell you to move your leg then you move it. Your brain doesn’t control you, you control it! When you dream, there is no projector to create images in your brain. That is you your soul in dream land. And yes, if the brain becomes damaged, your soul won’t be able to use certain functions of the tool you use to interact with this plane of existence. The same way if you smash the television screen, you won’t be able to see the picture anymore. But that doesn’t mean the source the picture came from is destroyed. Why? Because the signal is not tangible, just the television! If you unplug the television, the tv is dead. But, the source of energy/ electricity is not! It just went back to it’s source. Just like the tv signal went back to it’s source because it can no longer use that set to shine through!
Sound familiar huh? When our soul can no longer use the body and brain to interact with this plane of existence, our energy and conciousness simply go back to it’s source. Energy can’t be created nor destroyed. Conciousness, mind and self-awareness is not tangible. So it can’t be destroyed! That’s how God was able to give us eternal life. He made the real us intangible!

So, after clearly explaining how we have a soul, does anybody still think we have no soul!?
