  1. I don’t 100 percent approve, because sometimes they can be obnoxious, especially when it has nothing to do with their blog (they are more so random ads), I don’t particularly like the pop up ads either. I have been wanting ads on mine, but I also don’t want mine to be something totally in left field, ya know?

  2. Ads? I don’t see them, I get an email everytime someone I’m following posts something, I can read the whole thing by clicking ‘see all comments’ . I read before liking a post. If I’m following a writer, who advertised a book they had published, that would be of interest. I agree with the pop-up comment, no one likes them. I read on my mobile, because all those e-mails arrive in the middle of the night for me. (husband woke me up, it’s 2.30am)
In conclusion, I am not bothered by ads, but would be by pop-ups!

  3. I have mixed feelings on it. I don’t mind some ads that are fairly unobtrusive, like links to services mentioned in an article, or small pictures. But popups are my bane and I will do anything possible to ban them from my screen. That’s why my site is ad free except for the occasional quiet suggestion in plain text form, or maybe a photo with a link to an event or new book.
